Education
Crushed dreams of a child waiting for superman,
failing schools in the hood, so obviously the odds are against them,
success stuck in their minds while the government befriends them,
sends them to put their lives on lottery tickets that determine where they end,
the room echoes with the inhaled sounds after a number is called,
the sad aww made by the child after their number is not heard,
im still confused on why good education is limited?
Ideology of racism stuck in these failing schools, secretly disguised plantations, covered in tattered ABC's and Graffiti covered streets,
Minorities where once labeled as those who couldn’t read,
The mentality of where the mind of a brown skin person is a bad seed, where seeing scenes of teens give up because their teachers are saying their incapable to do anything, but roll that swisher sweet they can get an A in weed,
I hope you see where im going with this
education is a failure because boys and girls of the ghetto are told that superman doesn’t exist.
No child left behind said one politician, but since their voluntarily dropping out I guess its not much of a mission, so kids keep wishing on these shooting stars, but the numbers called still don’t match the ticket,
Now since seeing a child lose hope is nobody’s business
let America know that it aint going to succeed with education being a weakness,
These heroin figures are replaced with heroin needles, young children are put into the hand of evil, and the super villians are starting to look more like people,
righteous words spoken in the real world terms, aimless minds, looking for a skull to call home,
I hope this poem shows you the reality that education is funded by money and money is the color green, I guess kryptonite is also the weakness of children, not only superman you see
