Education is not a privilege and this nation cannot allow "education to be a luxury". “America!” I cry, “ You cannot afford to send another ghetto child to prison instead of college. Don’t you see how foolish you are being for spiking tuition prices and while you lavish on the latest biochemical weaponry? Sometimes I feel as though I am trapped in your corporal maze and as I begin to gaze into the horizon where Lady Liberty stands, acid rain drops fall into my skin and it begins to cause holes seeping out my soul. And it is no coincidence America, that these droplets carry acid." I know education is not a privilege. I know this as I sit in my dorm and begin to cry because I fear that next semester I no longer will be able to pay for school and that my brother might get drafted.
