Education Rant

Teachers better start caring

About what their students know.

Instead of teaching just for the grades

Of the students—it's all a big show.

When you step out of the class room,

What do you take with you?

Is it good grades or actual knowledge?

Do you get my point of view?

In the long run, what you know

matters more than that report card.

Students better stop cramming

And should start studying hard.

They need to take school seriously,

and so do teachers—critically.

We need to change our priorities

From the grades to what matters, you see?
