The Effect

I have tried to keep you happy, to prevent you from being sad

I have made you laugh, made you cry, made you not want to die

You saved me, help me define who I am, and who I thought I was supposed to be

I thought we were doing well, doing fantastic

You were my best friend

I thought we were meant to be

But here I am crying and wanting to die

Because you ended our relationship from a text to me after you got one from our ex

I now have no friends

I am lonely

I am dying

Then that night I send out a warning call

Not for long and not making any sense

Nobody understands

Nobody feels the hurt

The strive to succeed

Maybe I should leave? I'm scared, no I'm terrified
