The Effects of Clinical Depression

She hurts so bad She says "I want it to end" She feels no sadness, only numb It is a vicious tsunami There is no higher ground for her to climb to So she cries and cuts and carves and purges all of it away until she can't anymore And finally she does what she is supposed to do She tells a friend Her friend loves her so dearly She cannot let her slip So she clings on tight through the waves Said friend becomes engulfed as well The waves fill her lungs Beginning to drown her But she must smile and give hugs and kisses So that the diagnosed can trudge on And now she hurts so bad too
