Eglantine

I watch the blue crystal sky

turn to a black midnight hue,

but still the flower blooms

at the same rate.

I admire it’s gentle

graceful beauty like children picking Daisies

for their loved ones.

I sit by the same flower

day after day

stunned by its shadows and

thorns.

The way it dances and

sways to the natural music of the

earth.

I pick up my pen and

feel my own song begin to

blossom from its own

beauty.

Captivated by its story,

I sprout alongside it.
