Eksphrastic Impulse: Ode to "The Scream"

Tempera, Pastel, Tempera, Crayon

Eighteen-Ninety-Three to Nineteen and Ten

Cardboard is what they were created on

Four different versions made in the end

Clouds ill and tired bleed red with pure blood

Tone and Mood set with orange, yellow, and blue

"Der Schreider Nature" or known as "Den Skrik"

"The Scream" - This is its English Nom de Plume

Through art expressing truth not facade

of passion and pain does this portrait shriek
