El amor que tengo

If a genie came and granted me one wish, I wouldn’t ask for gold or any of that. I’d rewind to the past, and pause time back when the moments felt like home, when I was once naive. If only I had known that I wasn’t alone. To go back, I could cry and lie on your shoulder where you made me feel fine and know everything was in order. Maybe if I was older I could’ve visited you. If only you knew how much I love you. When I returned home I saw on the bus the food that you made with all your heart. You knew what I loved. Sadly I didn’t eat it due to the lack of time I had. The food you poured love into — I couldn’t eat. Maybe if I go back I’ll eat it right up. But not just you I’d go back in time for, but for all the memories that I didn’t know I had.
