Electric Moves

These electric moves, got me flyin’,

Flyin’ so high, I can’t let go.

My head is spinnin’ with all those lies,

Lies I shouldn’t have been told.

My Romeo, no longer with me.

I’m flyin’ so high, I can’t let go.

Your strong hands, secured around my narrow waist, swaying to the beat.

“You got me dreamin’, baby, of the places I want to see---”

“The places I want to be.” I finished.

Walking towards your jeep, still swaying trying to feel that beat.

I stop. Freeze. I look up at the person in front of me.

“Romeo,”I say. I don’t know if I should runaway, knowing this ain’t my Romeo with me.

My head is spinnin’ with all those lies,

Lies that take me flyin’.

I take a step back, yet you take a step forward.

It’s really not fair, that you have my heart soarin’.

Tears have been shed,

Hearts have been broken, trust is lost.

My Romeo, no longer with me.

You were just one lie I shouldn’t have been told.

Fate always finds a way to mess with me.

It’s cruel and messy.

Yet it had to be you, to play with me.

These electric moves, got me flyin’,

Flyin’ so high, I can’t let go.

My head is spinnin’ with all those lies,

Lies I shouldn’t have been told.
