ELEGY OF ONE HARLOT

Abandoned she was Unnoticed she went Alone in this big empty world An old harlot, stuck in oblivion She had rejected many suitors in her prime Only to realize much later she had committed a crime! A crime against her own self She thought she had time in her favour Forgetting the adage;"Time waits for no man" She was not once careful in her dealings Living a care free life to the max Now she's gone, without a penny to her name Nor a child to remember her by Having committed countless abortions overtime Her passing went unmourned And indeed at the burial service, Which the local minister decided to organize No one person knew what to say And all the minister could say was; "She finally slept alone,at peace but unsaved" #PJ_Abbie®
