Elements of Love

The cascading ebb and flow

of everlasting waves and riptides,

the quickening time we know,

becoming the essence of our youth.

A cycle of our years passed

through violent storms and calm skies,

through many questions spent by gloomy windows asked.

We are represented by time-

time will never grow old,

for my eternity with you matters most, and you will forever be mine.

Let me wade through your waters

until my soul becomes a part of you,

until we are one, where nothing else matters

most, but the time we spend together.

Let us be carried fleetingly without care

in the gentle arms of a vessel,

over waves that don't drown us,

but only lift us higher.

A burning passion, the birth of a phoenix,

the death of an Era

of broken hearts now fixed.

Eyes that speak truths,

the smile that weakens knees,

the only one my heart craves is you.

Deeply rooted in the glowing embers of the flame,

reflected are our souls connecting,

a paparazzi of sparks, concluding our fame.

Houses that burn down to the ground

from passion too hot,

now enveloping a whole town.

From the ashes arise the walls of a phoenix,

to start over and build from the ground up,

feelings deeper, emotions mixed.

Keep me warm with your flame

amd I'll give you warmth in return,

through nonexistent shame,

but in existent flames of heart and care.

I will forever fuel this wildfire

that continues to consume our hearts of bare.

At the core stands the innermost secrets of my heart

in which you unlocked,

without tearing me apart.

Burning, burning, a ball of metal-

small but impenetrable-

impenetrable, but not by you.

A second layer that makes up my walls,

a heated pool of ever-flowing love

to catch you, to cushion you when you fall.

The foundation of my passion found in my mantle,

set ablaze, burning to the touch,

but nevertheless for you, soothing and gentle.

Convection currents that carry the thinnest layer of my heart- the lithosphere,

creating roadmaps for the electrical currents of our love to trek,

over mountains, and through rivers and oceans, you will find me here.

You can build your house from my forests of impenetrable wood,

set up in my heart for permanent,

and give you shelter and eternal home I should.

Bask in the beauty of my heart,

and see to it ruin, you will not.

For as long as you live in it forever and tend to it,

I shall not be torn apart.

Alas there remains, the relentless care of wind,

commitment remains an important factor to eternity,

through patches we must mend.

It's natural we stray from our path,

the wind will always guide us home.

Let it take upon your soul and carry you into my arms,

spare the wrath.

Needs it be you return to me

without scarring me permanently so,

let it be the wind does not tumble down

the walls in my heart-

the walls of your home forevermore.

A breath of fresh air- here- we can take,

with comitment heavily scented,

but mistakes we are bound to make.

I apologize in advance- for I want you to stay-

for any mistake I may make in the future,

please, don't let the world take you away.
