Elton John

We played Candle In the Wind at her funeral,

I had never hurt so much before she left.

My life was torn to so many pieces,

my head was left such a wreck.

My life went far down hill, I couldn't even control it;

since she wasn't around, all I could do was sit.

I gave up in life, my heart had ached

for my lifelong best friend had met her fate.

The pills made me numb, the slices went deeper..

the right way of life had grown much steeper.

I grieved and I cried, I prayed late at night.

All I ever wanted was for her to have a fair fight.

When I tried to end it too, I couldn't bare it anymore.

I made it to the hospital, It happened all too soon.

After I made it out, alive, I heard an old familar tune.

A smile spread across my face, I knew it was a sign, too.

A Candle In the Wind, Elton's sweet and savior voice.

A promise of hope and growth, I knew I had a choice.

For her I grew so much, I turned my life around,

for all it took was that sweet, sweet radio sound.

Through her I lived on, and grew too be so good.

Through her I learned to love, precisely how I should.

I maintained good grades, a 4.0

I acheived great things, I put on a show!

Now as I sit, cradled in her spiritual embrace

she continue to inspire me to do such great things.

The next step is college, I just can't be stopped..

Thank you for believing in me. This ones for you, Mom.
