Emancipation of the Deluded

In reality, I see way too many people Who think the past is behind us Even as we struggle with race and class issues Today. You do know deluded individuals Even if you don't know you know them. They're there, always thinking about you And your ambitions, your intentions. But guess what? Because they don't know, they assume. And it needs to stop. Stop making it seem like we Can just sit and watch While others tear us down (which is just tearing ourselves down). Stop letting others keep you in a cage That you may or may not know you're in. YOU ARE DELUDED if you think we're all in this together, That everything is easy to work out, that the world we live in can change With some words, posters and news articles. No, it has to start from within each and everyone of us. Who wants to make a real difference? I know I do, In reality.
