The Emancipation of Me and the Freedom I Need

An irate urge to break the chain

engulfed my will, and I attacked

the host that stands and abides my pain

will fail because I won't fall back

my soul set free will find its ease

when the opposing ghosts agree to halt

we'll all find peace-lands when they cease

when they see who I am is no one's fault

I've bled and cried to suit their plight

to show change in the 'me' they say they knew

but I'll lead my charge and live my light

because what never found freedom never grew

I embrace inside my sunshine - I am me

smiling here is the man who set himself free
