Embarrassment
It comes UNEXPECTED!
You sit there stubbornly ordering your tongue
to evict the food that has no business
hiding between your teeth,
when someone makes a face
witnessing the GRUESOME act.
It stares your confidence aside.
Discreetly maneuvering the tips of your fingers
as if to gently tell your undergarments,
"no, no, no, you do not belong there mister";
the handsome individual over there,
happens to see the spectacle. Sweet luck of mine!
It threatens to shove your head into your neck.
You call for your friend. They do not hear you!
It escalates to a desperate scream. Still nothing.
Oh! the sea of eyes that swim towards you.
For sure, I will drown.
It shrinks you to the point you now have to make friends with an ANT!
You forgot to zip.
What's underneath?! I don't remember what I put on this morning.
No problem. Ask them! Now they know.
To the ant hole! Follow me.
