Ember

Set fire underneath their feet
Heat to warm the broken hearts
Healing bleeding parts
Intention tending to this ember
That we might remember

Remember a day of love
The dove carrying holy branches from holy ground
We've found the truth, the spirit of life
Of freedom, redemption, ridding of strife
And envy oh envy your biting tongue
Sharp with acid spit, you're bitter and sour
With every hour growing more prone to attack when alone
So make haste my spirit, flee from that room
It's walls crumbling at the sound of freedom ringing singing songs of love
Above us all the heavens open and fall to earth, making a new what was dead and dry
So give it a try, just sing the love that's in your heart
Or sing the hate until it departs from you like a dandelion blown by the breath of God Himself.
