Embers

in the embers, I see
the lost petals of the freshest rose
the lost rose is afire with hate
with love with broken fate

in these embers I see
the hope for another day
another way to say
I love you
I need you
don't go away

in these embers I see
the essence of lost fate
of begotten words
of a crime lost before time

in these embers I see
someone who is meant to be
a person who sees only me
I see time as its meant to be

in these embers all I see is
lost words
lost time
lost fates
and begotten crimes
