Embrace and Conquer

Because I love you

I demand

We are a team.

Through all of our ups and downs

And even when steam

Comes out of our ears

And brings out the tears,

We’ll stay together

For all of our years.

Because I love you

We just need faith.

God will lead the way.

If we share the same values

No trial can fray

The fabric of our life together.

My mom and dad tried

With different views

Their love sparked a flame

But eventually blew a fuse.

We’ll stick together

Through thick and thin.

I’ll even tell you

When you have food on your chin.

Because I love you

I’m an open book.

Understand I’m not perfect

And please take a look

At the world around you

Where no one achieves perfection.

We all have our flaws,

Not all can be fun.

But yours fit me like a puzzle

And I embrace every one.
