Embrace my shade of brown
Freedom is fought for everyday, so don’t say there is freedom in this state.
Don’t believe very thing they say because they categorize every race.
They say every brown face does not belong in the United States,
But yet our hard working strength cleans up the mess.
Humanity is immobile for change and it seems we are back in 1921
When the white man was in the front and the colored man in the back.
Walking through separate doors, never meeting face to face, never being hand in hand.
It’s time for change so embrace this different shade of brown because, the pride in my heart is a never ending rage.
Though I am different, I have learned to embrace your fat free culture and super-size way of life.
So can you just embrace the fact I am one of a kind, and remember that does not mean I should be singled out.
