Embry

Embry

We pass her one by one,

my turn next.

Butterflies play tag in my stomach.

Racing all around never getting weary,

only more hyper.

Her smooth skin captures me in a dream

like I’m floating on a velvet cloud.

Her bottomless blue eyes shimmer,

like the sun reflecting off luminous water.

Her eyes play peek-a-boo with mine,

opening,

then hiding back behind her vanilla shades.

I take her on a journey into my arms.

Her skin glows,

like the beaming rays of the lustrous sun.

It touches mine so tenderly.

Her adorable characteristics,

embrace my heart.

Everything is beautiful about her.

My turn next,

to give her up.

I know I will never let her escape,

from my heart.

She is,

and will always be,

my special baby cousin,

Embry.
