emily

I am here to protect you,

Not here to surrender.

Cant I see us too?

I am no pretender.

Why am i so scared?

If I've not traveled far,

Too much I have bared,

Too much I've been scarred.

If all I see is you,

And all I've seen was new.

Why can't I see two,

Is my future askew?

With freedom unchained,

Yet capture so ready,

Am I prepped for the rain,

The rapture unsteady?

The chemical bath,

controls all emotion.

Is it envious wrath,

Or simply devotion?

To kill or not have killed,

That is my destination.

Yet suddenly unfilled,

I've found my revelation.

The name that has that ring,

The one that causes war.

He's the one you call your king.

He's the one that wants no more.

If I dropped a single tear,

Would it be too much to bear?

Could it be the overseer,

That has the secret tear?

And then at last,

Its what I see.

No longer the past,

Is part of me.

Now, I am complete,

To the farthest to me.

I no longer compete,

I am Emily...
