Happiness, Sadness, Anger,
those are just to name a few.
Emotions are the feelings in our heart.
They are the little family dwelling inside.
They anxiously jump up and down making the heart thump.
They’re the steam to this well oiled machine.
Whether they are running smoothly on track or overloading with steam,
Those feelings never quit or take a break.
Even as we sleep, those guest are awake.
Either bringing us smiles in our dreams
or making us cringe with dreadful sights.
Whether they are happily dancing or sadly moping
our emotions are always blissfully living.
Sometimes they are annoying creatures, making it so hard to live.
Fear and anger tear us apart.
jealousy can lead to frustration
and frustration will take us to hatred.
The sound of hatred’s voice causes the body to tremble
and soon we are taken to despair.
Such feelings are pointless.
Why should we feel happiness and sadness?
They won’t last forever.
Why should we get angry or frustrated?
It only blinds us as we rampage about or sulk in a pit of despair.
So why not just get rid of them all.
No more feelings.
nothing left to distract our mind.
Finally man can be free to continue their days.
Free from those little voices inside.
The ones who make us cry,
the ones who blind us with joy,
those voices that fill our hearts with anger, regret, and dismay.
No longer shall we feel,
because to feel is to eventually feel weak.
But to not feel at all is to not live.
Without emotions we’re just a hollow shell.
Sure nothing is inside to annoy you but you now lack a soul.
The fire that fuels humanity’s will,
the thing that drives us,
makes us continue on even as life gets hard.
To live without a soul is to live without passion.
A life without passion is a life best not lived.
Emotions are painful.
