Emotion? No. Choice.

Sometimes I sit and wonder why I deserve someone like you Someone who loves me through my imperfections and sees past my many faults Someone who not only saw me then, but sees me now, and wants to see me forevermore Someone who can make me smile, make me laugh, make me cry, make me second guess the real meaning of love Love: a passionate feeling or emotion for another person I disagree Love to me is not a feeling and not an emotion It's a choice A choice of whether or not you are willing to push through Push through the ups and down Push through the arguments and fights Push through the time away from each other Push through the imperfections Just push through Love is also letting go Letting go of the past relationships Letting go of the hurts and pains of previous people Letting go of the lies Letting go of the tears Letting go of yourself Letting go and being able to know that when you let go Someone will be right there behind you to catch you To break your fall and lift you up You see love is a very complicated thing Thing? No choice. The choice of whether you're gonna open up And if you do, What's next?
