Emotional Blank

I’m lost.

I don’t know what to do,

Everyone found their way, but I’m still in the same place,

Friends and family talk about the future, while I make everything up,

I said I’m gonna get PhD and make all that money to make my parents proud,

Yet, I’m standing there still trying to figure things out,

I smile and lead the way on this cracked and dusty road,

I just wanna rush and choose a job that makes money to provide for my needs, but that won’t make me happy,

All my life I’ve sat by my desk, and stare at my phone all day,

I don’t want to do this anymore

I want to live my life,

Take it slow and breathe in,

I need to find my way.
