Emotional Distancing

Let's connect to reality;

turn off the electricity,

lie in the silence that

invades us.

I'll hear you for lack of

the other sounds that

made us

bearable, one to the other.

It's the passionless breaths

that'll make the stillness

staggered deaths,

dealt slow

in ceaseless, unrepentant

blows.

Let me hang first

suspended

in the time just before in

euphoria, a by product of

the multitudinous exploits of

pleasure stimulus primed

clips and toks

tweets and shots

and series...

God, what a high,

Gratification

knows the right loops to tie.
