Emotional Explosions

Born with matches inside us

but we can’t strike them

we need oxygen

the breath of the person you love

dazzled by an intense emotion

warmth grows within us

fading slowly

a new explosion comes to revive it

Each person will set off those explosions

in order to live

the combustion that occurs

nourishes the soul

The box of matches dampens

If one doesn’t set off these explosions

and not a single match will ever be lighted.
