Emotions

I experience emotions but I don’t feel them

It’s like standing in the rain with no jacket or umbrella but not getting wet

It’s like getting cut but not bleeding

I have so much going on, any normal person would’ve given up by now

But then again I’m not normal

What is normal?

Going through something traumatic and having textbook reactions to it?

Actually talking about your feelings?

Yea, definitely not normal

It’s hard because when I’m off my meds it’s like a flood of emotions all at once and I’m just left there drowning in my sea of despair

Keyword my

I did this to myself

I can get through this myself

But let’s say I were actually drowning, someone came along and tried to save my life

The normal thing to do would be to accept their help

But then again

I’m not normal
