Emotions Within

Emotions Within

There is a demon in my head

But she answers to my name

She tells me stories late at night

That are messing with my brain

When I stand in front of a mirror

She laughs at what I wear

the freckles upon my face

and the way that I tie my hair.

Do the people walking down the street

Fight these same demons too?

The ones that make you doubt yourself

and the ones who also tell you what to do?

Maybe that is why they never talk

Because they are screaming inside of their head,

" Why would you hate another person,

when you hate yourself instead ? "
