Emptiness

Hebrews 4:12 New English Translation (NET Bible)

12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart.

Emptiness

Life now is too long gone to draw lines in the sand

Tar seems more the substance that hangs around our necks

All appears by-gone as we stretch our empty hands

In a search of hand-outs that only bring us, flack

We gave up long ago even before it all started

We never found the starting point as we were searching for the finish

In our lives filled with apropos ourselves in such outsmarted

As we visited every joint and marrow just our confidence to replenish

Up in years, we look back without the ability to turn our head

All we notice is before us as it appears now like the past

Completely off the track, we stumble straight perplexed

Thinking we’re leading upfront the hilarious confusing cast
