Emptiness

The amount of effort it takes to hide To fake smile and pretend to be fine No amount of money will suffice The whirlwind that hits at night Though I try to leave them at the door Most nights its so painful I hit the floor What will they do if they see you scorned The stress, anxiety, and PTSD keep you torn Overwhelming, like being lost in a maze of corn Feeling as if there’s nowhere to go.. Drowning in the emptiness of a forever abyss There’s got to be more to life than this….
