Emptiness Roars
Have you ever felt so empty inside?
Nothing available to eat or drink,
Day after day after day.
It may not be a personal experience, but it exists.
There are hungry men, women, and children,
In countries all over the planet.
Not knowing when they will eat again,
Or even what they will eat.
I cannot personally relate to this issue,
But I can be a blessing to others.
When one begins to do work,
Others join in to get the job done.
The time to make a difference is now.
Too many people are so hungry that they become sick,
Fighting for whatever scraps are available,
Or giving up and letting themselves die.
Everyone is trying to end world hunger,
Or slow it down at least.
But there is one thing I know for sure,
These people do not deserve to go hungry.
