Empty

Her face is broken with tears,

Her heart is shattered with grief.

Holding no sympathy, his face was blank.

His heart is cold and dark.

Love destroyed them,

Love made them Empty.

This terrifying four letter word,

It’s a never ending storm,

Swirling and twirling, keeping them whirling.

The sparkle her eyes once held, now Empty.

The sparkle he used to love oh-so-much,

Left them with Empty promises, Empty hearts, Empty feelings.
