Empty
A blank page full of forgotten words,
A white canvas deprived of colour.
A language spoken without words,
A heart opens with no doors to enter.
Is it emptiness or too full to see space,
So blinded by emotion we appear empty.
Afraid there is nothing to love or too much,
Not knowing if we’re empty of cramped.
Left drifting through an ocean or emotion,
Too afraid to fall in as the ocean sways.
Rocking your secluded boat of thoughts,
One wave sends you straight to the bottom.
Left drowning in an ocean of commotion,
Nothing left but memories of clear skies.
When hearts were open and birds sang,
Days that have long since been forgotten.
