Empty Apologies

Empty apologies

So when it gets hard
I feel like I want to give up
Inside it feels bad
Like everything I work for
Is being dogged out
I feel like the jewels in my crown must be taken out
For those to be in comfort
It feels almost as if there is a few people that understand
In believing in your dream: the time is now
It's like a sabotage
I want to be better musician
I want to fight for a stronger team
I believe that there is more to me than what has been taken
If it is taken away then there's no gift
Energy being created and then just there taken away to be drained
And dogged
The same people
I feel as if I am in an abusive relationship with myself
Forgiving and allowing
When giving your life force energy away
To someone , all of your passion, all of your spirit
And they give it to someone else in front of you
It's such a cutting spirit
That hurts and bleeds
I pray for forgiveness to myself
To heal and to have the strength to leave
But every time
I keep thinking
That he would change
But he hasn't before and he isn't now
So here I am Alone in my thoughts, drained, frustrated and
he still walking around
With his empty apologies

It's like a broken record
Playing the same sweet song
But it never gets over with
It plays until the night and all the day long
With his voice repeating
And yes, you are crazy boy
Why can't you just leave me alone?
And let me live free

Can you imagine me smiling and being free
Or do you want me chained inside your slavery
Too many times before I hear you call my name
All of these little lies seem to make me go insane

Why do you have to break apart the things that we should build
My mind turning wild make me feel all of this guilt
Why should I be with you instead of being free
He still walking around
With his empty apologies
