An Empty Carcass
My neck stains of red; I'm sorry. My love stains of indigo and a sharper pain. I left without telling you the truth: I cared. My lovely little black dress wasn't long enough to hold my legs in place -they shook. Fearless as a knight to become one with his king and a spring of loyalty to his father and maiden name: I stood in patience to receive my goodbye with or without your sweet blossom colored eyes. You left and never have I had the chance to tell you, I believed that maybe I could love you. Time grew too late and shattered. Now I've seen a night where I see someone else. I've become forgotten instead of the one to forget. My hair stained your arms but now they've soon been destined to fade in a clock of pity. Along the hands of mothers chair, I sit in silence hoping maybe you'll come to apologize for what I couldn't say. Mother's eyes will see you and gleam with words of unwelcome. My hands spill in vows of chastity, then it'll become clear that the moon's children became death in the sun's light. From my memory I've seen only two creatures hold hands and neither were gods. From deceased potential I've seen myself thrive once, I've seen you touch their hearts but not like you did our mothers.
