Empty Dreams
You caress me in a tender embrace,
and you tell me that you love me,
with a smile of lust on your face,
is this all just empty dreams?
You kissed me oh so tenderly,
but it wasn't anything like my dreams.
It's love, I thought so recklessly,
but wasn't more than empty dreams.
I wanted so much for this to be real,
but you only wanted something to feel.
It was all just part of your lustful scheme,
to you it didn't mean a thing,
you filled me up with empty dreams.
I won't sit by and play your game,
it hurts me when you call my name.
All that's left are broken seams,
and crashing down of empty dreams.
