Empty Halls

Silhouette form, fingers tracing

Woven halo, heartbeat racing

Empty halls, hear when they sing

all there is to know.

Slowly, surely, burned the bridges

Drastic truths, valleys, ridges-

I believe it now, that it is

time for me to go.

Shadows thicken, chokehold gripping

Mind is draining, dying, dripping-

Peace is found while soul is ripping

Reaping what I sow.

Kick the chair now, out from under;

Empty halls will start to wonder

With all reason thrown asunder,

What have I to throw?

Vision fades, but fault is vacant-

Present, yet has grown complacent

Empty halls echo with ancient

Knowing from below.
