EMPTY HEART

Empty, Empty, Empty heart,

Dead emotions torn apart.

Fierce and hungry, all alone,

Hatred hidden; rarely shone.

Why so lost? Why so lonely?

Considered content with myself only.

Love is distant and untrue,

All my trust was put in you.

Now I resist, refuse to connect,

I've learned from pain

And harsh neglect.

If you really, truly care,

Your true soul you must bear.
