Empty Home

Darkness comes, comes to night. You disappeared without a sight. You left me here, scared, and alone, In this place we once called home. The wind, it calls, The walls, they creek. The empty halls... Still, for you I seek. It used to be just you and I, Now I sit here, now I cry. For I wanted you the rest of my life, I wanted to be called your wife. That life, I suppose, wasn't enough, So, you grabbed your things, and packed your stuff. To "better things", you had claimed, But I knew better, Just had no name. No name for the girl who stole your heart, For the person who had torn us apart. I sit here and cry, I miss you so, How I still wish you'd just come home.
