Empty Pinkie Promises

His eyes locked on mine,
shivers are sent down my spine.
I feel electricity in his touch,
and I know he cares for me so so much.
When I don't have his hand to hold,
my world is empty and cold.
He wraps his arms around me in a warm embrace,
and he constantly tells me I have a beautiful face.
I have never felt very confident or pretty,
but when he's with me I can never feel such self-pitty.
Pinkie promises we can never break,
because if we do our hearts will truly ache.
I wish I could tell him how I truly felt,
but every time I try I seem to melt.
Three words so powerful yet short,
every time they start to come out I somehow abort.
I love you I will finally say one day,
but I have a feeling he won't feel the same way.
