Empty Skies, Hollow Heart

Like empty skies

my hollow heart,

nothing there;

No hope, no light.

no, nothing fair.

I stand alone,

my heart, my lair.

Keep 'way from me,

don't hold me near

lest you be swallowed

despair and fear.

My hollow heart,

no hope, no light

heaven's falling

no foe to fight,

save me.

My hollow heart,

like empty skies:

blackened night,

monochrome.

A thousand points

the stars so bright,

someone here

has shown a light.

dare I hope?

I think, not yet.

There's something still

i've yet to get.

My hollow heart

hollow no more.

The empty skies

now filled with stars

lost no longer

moving on.

Found my way,

found my hope

The sun is rising,

the vibrant dawn

lights my way.

I'm moving on.
