Empty is thy heart
Empty is thy heart
Empty is thy heart surrounded by love
Shrouded in loneliness as if it were a glove.
Void of happiness in moments that loved ones share
Separated from reality and numb to the embrace of those who care.
Empty is thy heart
Empty is thy heart that stills tries to give love long since gone
Wishing to take flight with wings as beautifully white as a swan.
Trapped in a state of solitude, though it struggles to connect.
Constantly feeling like an outcast or reject.
Empty is thy heart
Empty is thy heart desperately trying to be pulled from the dark
Instead it withers away without knowing if it left its mark.
Time slipping from its grasp like water through a net
Will it find joy before the game is set?
Empty is thy heart
Empty is thy heart that with life wants to part
Straining to fight from becoming a piece of Death's art.
Empty is thy heart.
Empty is my heart.
