Empty Words

Shadows linger, voices whisper Bloody words while souls quiver. Courage is fleeting and cowardice plenty. The night is young until we reach twenty. The pieces are scattered, colored in scarlet Along with the hopes and fears of an artist. The scars, now, run deep and as many. Love is unknown and not handed to any. The words are gibberish, the pages blank. Dull eyes stare at nothing but dripping red ink. We're a candle that's been robbed of all light. Our joy was sucked throughout our plight. We find 'Something in 'Meaningless' And 'Nothing' in 'Cohesiveness'. 'Reason' has lost meaning, 'Rationality' is now demeaning. We exist in a vast open space, Simply floating to retain face. 'Pain' doesn't wake us, 'Numb' overcomes us. But in the end, it's 'Nothing' that fabricates us. 'Depression' is such a vile and wrong word. I prefer 'Mess With An Existence Blurred.'
