En Videregaende Skole i Wyoming
A yearning, a feeling.
It digs deep and grows strong,
Only one such a feeling
It lasts a lifetime.
The crash of waves
The missing piece
A taste of salt on your lips.
Across the ocean far away
He fights for freedom
But remembers his home.
A cloudy day matched with
Cloudy hearts.
She sits and looks,
Far away but so close.
A ship is dashed on the rock,
It's hull split in two.
The visualization of dispair.
A yearning, a feeling.
They cannot be parted
Though time and distance
Pull to destroy.
Hands pressed to heart.
"I will never forget."
Her words lost to the wind
As tears stain her cheek.
Across the sea he lays.
A dark trench as bombs fall.
"I will never forget" as his lips go cold.
A single picture
Painted long ago.
A yearning, a feeling.
A broken ship, a broken dream.
Distance cannot break
The love of two hearts.
