In the End

Love haunts the soul

Leaving its trace with scars

Feel its claws dig into your flesh as it watches you bleed

Love slowly devours the heart

Until every ounce of your joy has been erased

Leaving you but a hollow corpse

Love is like a drug

That provides a temporary high until you’re addicted

Then it leaves you lifeless on your living room floor

        In the end

Love always leaves
