The End

The lights turned dim, And the curtains crept Open once more. As the first chords crawled out, She rose on relevé. First position, pas de bourée to fifth. Tendu front Feet springing into piqué After piqué After piqué Her steps rehearsed, Her choreography flawless, Her grace breathtaking. Her eyes were closed A deep breath. One final turn, One last somber pirouette Brought close to the curtain One final time.
