The End

I once went to you for answers, Encouragement, advice. You used to comfort and console me, In a grip confusingly too tight. You were the center of my world, The sun shining high and bright. I was but a foolish girl, Weakened by the mask of nice. Now I can see that I was wrong, My head has finally been cleared. The fascination is long gone, Your crown has disappeared. There is nothing you can say, Your grasp on me has slipped. No words could make me stay, My link to you has chipped. I wished things could have changed, But the light faded fast. You hoped to chain me to your side, Causing all of this to crash. You could trick me easily before, Never again will I be so rash. I can walk away ensured, This heart has been your last.
