The end

Sat, 01/18/2020 - 21:48 -- EJ123

My heart stopped, my jaw rocked
I couldn't believe my eyes
the tightness clenched
overwhelmed by your lies
Feeling breathless
watching you desert me made me restless

With every passing footstep Getting quieter
the weight got heavier
I stood there lethargic
turning cold hearted
Accepting I was defeated

Your elegant, delicate hair disappeared
Your silk like hand print is still there
The hope had shredded
This was something I couldn't bear

It sunk deep like an anchor
With the past looking like a blur
resulting in my heart begging her whilst my mind thanking her

The brightness cleared
The darkness appeared
I realized this was the end
