In the end...

Who I am is Who I want to be

What I am is what the world can only see

For I wish they could see the whole me

they refuse to see what is within

All they see is what they get

Before they can judge and label me

they see the light skin, blonde hair, and hazel eyes

they don't think to dig deep within

they can only see what is on the skin

But is that not what is wrong with society?

What is constantly causing all these fatalities?

These differences are what makes us who we are

But they are also what labels us and puts us into groups

they are what subsidizes us into oppression to treat one another with cruelty

And follow the digression of humanity

But in the end...

Who we are is what we are

For we make both

The choice to embrace your past and your future in one is truly only yours
