The End and The Beginning

Orange streaks of the dancing fire,
Red smears of the precious blood,
Purple swatches of the royal velvet,
Slowly drifting, fading away,
The bittersweet Ending to the Day.

Blue cloak of the midnight ocean,
White gleam of the shining opal,
Crystal shards of the scattered soul,
Gently singing and seeming to say,
Rest in awe and quietly pray.

Pink wisps of the whispering willow,
Blue wrinkles of the satin pond,
Gold wings of the delicate faerie,
Slowly nearing, fading away,
The glorious Beginning to the Day.
